Alma Mater Studiorum, Universita di Bologna
After my degree in philosophy, I took a Ph.D in Semiotics under the supervision of Umberto Eco at the University of Bologna, where I carried on my research thanks to a post-doctoral fellowship until I became a permanent researcher in 2000. At the moment I am an associate professor at the Department of Disciplines of Communication of the University of Bologna. Since 2001 I have been holding fundamental courses within the Masters in Communication at the Alma Graduate School of the University of Bologna: in particular, in recent years, I have been teaching the course on Strategic Positioning and on-line off-line Reputation within the Master in Communication, Marketing and New Media. Since 2003 I have been a tutor at the Collegio Superiore of the University of Bologna. Since 2005 I have been the director of the Master in Communication, Management and New Media, which is organised by the University IUAV of Venice together with the University of San Marino. Since 2007 I have been teaching monographic courses and working as a tutor for the Ph.D in Semiotic Disciplines of SUM, Italian Institute of Human Sciences. Since 2009 I have been the Head of the post-graduate programme in Semiotica. I have also been doing free-lance consulting and vocational training activities - all officially authorized by the University of Bologna - for various Centres of vocational training, public institutions, companies, such as Aster, CESIPc (a school of cognitive psychotherapy recognized by Miur), Aldini-Valeriani Foundation (Bologna), IAL Emilia-Romagna, Legacoop Emilia-Romagna, Regione Emilia-Romagna, Regione Siciliana, Scuola Superiore of Catania, and the University of Udine.
