Cisco is a Knowledge Management professional with international experience in the strategic implementation of disruptive innovation in the financial and healthcare sectors.
At Scotiabank International, he is member of the Emerging Business and Payments Team and is responsible for managing the profitability of Mobile Financial Services across Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2011, Cisco co-founded Salumedia, an international boutique IT consultancy firm based in Seveille, Spain. Today, he serves as an Advisor to the CEO. (Salumedia is a for-profit entity with clients across the Americas, Europe and Africa.)
Cisco is multilingual and is currently reading for a Doctorate of Philosophy on the use of Big Data at the University of British Columbia. He is a graduate of Google's Singularity University, holds an interdisciplinary MS in Knowledge Management, and a Bachelors with a specialization on risk assessment and algorithm scoring performance. Cisco also collaborates and co-directs a number of ongoing international research projects.
Cisco is committed to community service and has served as a medic with the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve for twelve years. He is also a retired Auxiliary Constable of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where he served for five years and focused on community engagement.
In his spare time, Cisco is a prolific reader, rock climber, and scuba diver. He is also involved in a number of youth mentorship programs globally.
