David Hutchison is Director of InfoLab21 and Professor of Computing at Lancaster University and has worked in the areas of computer communications, networking and multimedia systems for more than 25 years. He was a founding member of the IST FP6 Network of Excellence on Emerging Networking Technologies and Experiments (E-NEXT) that created the highly successful CoNEXT conference series. He now focusses on network resilience research, and works on the Resilinets project with James Sterbenz at Kansas University (see Resilinets) and is one of the founders of the ResumeNet FP7 project in the Future Internet Research and Experimentation (FIRE) area.
