Seminar on the IETF's response to pervasive monitoring
Next month we're delighted to be hosting two senior IETF participants in Oxford for a seminar to discuss the leading Internet standards body's responses to revelations over the last 7 months of pervasive monitoring of Internet communications by intelligence agencies. Dr Alissa Cooper, a member of the Internet Architecture Board, and Dr Stephen Farrell, one of the IETF's two security Area Directors, will be discussing the range of standards activities being undertaken to improve the security of key Internet protocols (such as HTTP 2.0, the main Web protocol). This is highly relevant to EINS work on privacy, security and standards, and very timely for the IETF meeting happening the following week in London. Please join us on 27 Feb!
